Patients can experience symptoms like poor appetite, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, lack of interest in formerly enjoyable activities, pessimism, and low self-esteem. Perioperative depression symptom (PDS) is one of the common mental comorbidity, and influences the clinical outcomes and prognosis.
